Course Description
The BLS is designed to teach professional healthcare providers the ability to recognize and treat life threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, relieve choking in a safe and effective manner.  This course is intended for physicians, nurses, paramedics, medical technicians, respiratory therapists, students in healthcare fields of study, nursing aides or assistants and other allied health personnel. This course is also for anyone required to take a healthcare provider course for employment. It is also a pre-requisite for advanced AHA courses such as ACLS and PALS.
